The Muirs Kitchen
We made some architectural suggestions to our client for this compact kitchen which included blocking a doorway, installing a tall narrow window and removing a wall to open up the old pantry, creating space for the Smeg Fridge.
The Muir's have a great collection of artwork and objectalia of a mid-century slant which we found inspirational for designing shelving for it. Lorna looked after us very well and we were treated to her homemade soup!
Cabinet Construction - birch plywood | Worktop - Hi-Macs 'arctic white'
Door Finish - coloured laminate & European oak veneer
I knew I had found the perfect kitchen when I peered through the window of Wood and Wire on a hot sunny evening last summer.
A combination of style, simplicity and quality ended my 2 year search for the perfect kitchen for our very modest 1960's semi.
Every stage of the process from initial discussion, site visit, design development to final installation has been brilliant.
We smile every time we go into the kitchen and what a joy to work and relax in there. Fantastic.
Thank you Jim, Tim and Ben
